CANVAS TOKYO

広尾駅から徒歩4分の場所にある、
元々は倉庫だった細長い真っ白な建物が目印の
ギャラリーカフェ「CANVAS TOKYO」。

「お店ならこうあるべき」などの概念は必要ないと
コンセプトは敢えて持たず、
“オープンコンセプト”というスタンスで、
コーヒースタンドをベースにしたお店を
2015年10月28日にOPEN。

深煎りを中心に厳選されたコーヒー豆を使用しており、
オススメのフラットホワイトは、
わざわざ遠方から飲みにくる人もいるとか。

他には体に優しい麻布十番nicoドーナツや、
大豆スムージーからジューシードッグなど
コーヒーが飲めない人でも楽しめるのが嬉しい。
　
商品にはそれぞれ考案者と思われる人物の
可愛いイラストが描かれているが、
実はこれ架空の人物。

ただのロゴだけでなくストーリーを持たせたいと、
それぞれのキャラクターを設定。

架空なのか現実なのかと言う意味でも
全ての境界線をなくした
ニュートラルな状態をどんどん作っていけたら
不思議で魅力的な空間になるんじゃないかと話す
オーナーの佐藤さん。

今後はギャラリーだけでなく、
ワークショップやイベントなども
積極的に行っていくとの事で、
お客様とスタッフはもちろん、
街とお店も垣根のない様々な”色”が交差する
まさに”CANVAS”のような
コミュニケーションスペースカフェのひとつ。

Gallery cafe ‘CANVAS TOKYO’ places with
in 4 minutes walking from Hiroh Station,
you will find white slim building ex-warehouse.

They don’t have any concept such like the shop should be.

They use special coffee bean strictly chosen,
recommend ‘white flat’
which popular among not only neibours but
also customers coming over distant place.

Also they have healthy donut ‘nico donuts’
from Azabu Juban, soy smoothy, juicy hotdog,
these are enjoyable for a person
who not good at coffee.

Each dish illustrated with
kawaii personnel character supposed to be
inventor of each dish. But its not real.

Since they have wanted to make up a story,
designed such unique characters.
　
The owner Sato-san said that trying to create
borderless space between real and unreal,
it going to be mystic and attractive space.

Planning some workshop and event,
not to mention customers and staff,
they try to get rid of borders
between town and shop,
it’s just like Canvas which drawn by
variety of colors.
